On Saturday, March 1, 2014 the Cape Fear Literacy Gala held it’s Around the World in 80 Days Gala at the Wilmington Convention Center. The international-themed evening brought out guests dressed in their finest – from gowns to saris, kilts to corsets – to support the Literacy Council’s objective to provide individualized literacy services so that adults and their families in the Cape Fear region can meet their goals and develop their potential. Attendees enjoyed a fabulous evening of cocktails, internationally-inspired dinner cuisine, silent and live auctions, casino-like games and live music and dancing.
